Bucklow Trafford Riding Club has been going for nearly 40 years! 

Our mission is to develop character, confidence and a sense of community through good horsemanship and competitive activity.


Once again we have packed the schedule with a huge array of  qualifying events, ranging from CHAPS ,The Showing Register (TSR), NCPA, Senior Showing (SSAD) and Grassroots - please see our full schedule of shows and qualifiers page for full details. Please do let us know if there are any other qualifiers we can hold for you next year. 

New qualifier for 2019 Equifest held on 28th April and 15th September will qualify you for 2020!!!

Throughout the season we have a points system based on a horse and rider combination which also carries cup/trophies at the end of the year.  All dates are Points qualifiers and we are holding a double points show at our last show in September.  Don't forget the  Annual Presentation Disco, which is always a great night!


New classes for 2019 - Style and Performance Working Hunter, Tiny Tots & Young Handler and we have split the the Style and Performance into walk and trot and style and performance including canter.


All rings have Championship sashes and rosettes for places 1st to 6th. On our 7th July show we have medals for all classes 1st to 3rd and Trophies for supreme championship.


For all dog lovers, due to the popularity and upon request we are running 2 dog shows - one at the first show on 23rd June 2019 and one at our last show on 15th September 2019.

our In-Hand Champion was J shown by Abi Shaw and Taincwm Victor took reserve champion shown by Bob weir.

The Mini Ring Champion was Zara Hayler riding  Maybrock Prince Charming and reserve champion went to Eva Wroe riding Thistledown Panter. Ring 2 Champion was Sargent Bioko III ridden by Adele Stewart and reserve champion went to Elain Hughes riding Harry Potter.

The Working Hunter Champion went to Tindip Mademoiselle Coco ridden by Olivia Cunnah and reserve champion was Laura Rothwell riding Gypsy Gold.

Ring 1 champion was awared to Emma Moroney riding Cricceth Icon and reserve went to Victoria weir riding Taincwm Victor.

Our Supreme Champion of the day was Zara Hayler riding Maybrock Prince Chaming.

Reserve Supreme Champion of the day went to Cricceth Icon ridden by Emma Moroney.

1st Reserve Supreme Champion of the day was awarded to Tindip Mademoiselle Coco ridden by Olivia Cunnah.
